Hospitals are now able to retrofit existing radiography suites and GE AMX portables with DR detectors, thus reducing the cost of upgrading to digital imaging. The detector replaces existing buckys and provides DICOM images within three seconds of exposure.  Patient throughput is also enhanced by using features such as worklist.
